INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
INTRODUCTION:
DOS31AB.COM patches IBMBIO.COM in Compaq DOS 3.10 rev A & B so that
dBASE IV rev 1.1 will print to a printer properly. IBMBIO.COM is a
hidden system file located in the root directory of your system
diskette or fixed disk.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
Any Compaq Computer using Compaq DOS 3.10 rev A or B.
WHO SHOULD USE:
Use this program if you are using Compaq DOS 3.10 rev A or B and
dBASE IV rev 1.1.
HOW TO USE:
1. Copy the program DOS31AB.COM from the distribution diskette to the
root directory of your system diskette or fixed disk.
2. Type DOS31AB and press the Enter key.
3. DOS31AB should report 4 patches applied to IBMBIO.COM and then reboot
the computer.
4. If the patch is not necessary, DOS31AB.COM will inform you that it is
not and exit. If DOS31AB reports "File not found," it is not being
executed from the root directory of your system diskette or fixed disk.
This is the directory that contains the hidden system files IBMBIO.COM
and IBMDOS.COM.
